Holiday Christmas Party

The annual Christmas party was held on December 12th at the Mounted Patrol Grounds in the Town of Woodside.  The event was a huge success, thanks to the tireless effort of your SOA board.  Over 100 active and retired SOA members,their families and guests enjoyed a delicious dinner  catered by redwood city’s own, harry’s hofbrau.  all the kids received a holiday gift bag, fun at Carol’s famous arts and craft table and a chance to visit with ole saint nick. Vice President, Jorge Ramirez and board director, hector acosta raffled off a slew of extraordinary prizes, including a 55″ samsung 4K uHD tV.

Annual Dinner and Dance

This year’s Retirement Dinner and Dance was held at Devil’s Canyon Brewery in San Carlos.  Sheriff’s Office Association President, Lisandro Lopez was the Master of Ceremonies. It was a huge success as well over 100 active and retired members their family and friends attended. Eight retirees were recognized and honored for their service and dedication to the Sheriff’s Office and the law enforcement community. Throughout the evening, an assortment of exciting prizes was raffled off.  Retired Lieutenant, Ken Jones, walked away with the grand prize – a 50” Samsung Smart TV.  The sensational rock band from Pacifica, Explorer, provided the live entertainment.

Lieutenant Vicki O’Brien was presented with the Whitmore Leadership Award.

2018 Events

Holiday Dinner Party

 

The holiday dinner party at the mounted patrol grounds was a huge success.  Well over 100 members, their family and friends attended the party. They feasted on turkey, ham and all the traditional fixings.  Many fabulous prizes were raffled off by President Lisandro Lopez and 1st vice president Jorge Ramirez. 

Santa Claus made a surprise visit and all the children received a stuff German Shepherd puppy  plus, they had their picture taken with Old Saint Nick.

The annual retirement dinner and dance was held on May 5th at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame.  Over 100 current and retired members of the SOA, along with their family and friends attended the event. The affair was facilitated by SOA President, Hector Acosta.  Eleven retirees were recognized and honored for their service and dedication to the Sheriff’s Office and the law enforcement community.  Retired lieutenant, Ken Jones received the prestigious Whitmore leadership Award. Live music was provided by the talented rock and roll band, Explorer.   An impressive assortment of merchandise was raffled off throughout the night.
